Born and raised in Colorado, Sam enjoys typical outdoor activities such as hiking, but also loves playing music with his band, traveling, sipping mezcal and spending time with his Chihuahua mix Winston. Sam inherited a deep love of architecture and design from his grandfather, who designed many post offices in the Denver metro area, along with his own house, which has inspired Sam to do the same where he currently lives in Golden.
While he originally graduated with a degree in Computer Science from CU Boulder, he found that world to be creatively stifling and set off on a new path. He enrolled in the Master’s Program for Recording Arts at CU Denver, which was the perfect marriage of his love of music and his technological savvy. While in that program, he made another left turn when he took an internship at a top architectural firm in NY that specialized in designing acoustical spaces. He quickly discovered a love and a natural talent for architecture, and a new career was born.
After spending nearly a decade living in the NYC area and sharpening his skills working for various architectural and acoustical consulting firms, he decided to move back home to Colorado and start his own firm, providing architectural services to his local community. Since founding Denver Drafting & Design, Sam has enjoyed working with hundreds of local architects, builders, developers, and homeowners.
